Privacy at StatikAPI

StatikAPI includes the open-source project and the hosted app at app.statikapi.com. We keep data collection small and transparent so you can focus on shipping.

What this covers

This policy applies to the StatikAPI website and the hosted StatikAPI app. The open-source CLI and libraries run locally and do not send data to us unless you explicitly connect them to a hosted StatikAPI service.

Information we collect

• Account basics: email address, name, avatar or profile image URL when available from your auth provider, and authentication details needed to sign you in securely.
• Account settings and preferences: theme preference, product email preference, and operational email preference when you use the hosted app.
• Team, project, and workspace data: team names and slugs, project metadata, collaboration context, and the content, assets, or configuration you choose to store, generate, or publish through StatikAPI.
• Operational logs and activity: auth/session events, build counts, endpoint and usage metrics, team activity, request metadata, abuse-prevention signals, and related operational logs needed to run, secure, and improve the service.
• Feedback and support submissions: messages you send through feedback, support, contact, or similar forms, plus helpful in-app context such as the page, team, or project involved.
• Billing metadata: billing email, subscription or invoice metadata, plan state, add-on state, and payment-provider references needed to manage billing. We do not store raw card numbers.
• Product emails (optional): if you subscribe to updates, we’ll store your email to send them. You can unsubscribe anytime.

How it’s used

• Provide authentication, hosted app features, project collaboration, and publishing workflows.
• Maintain reliability, audit activity, troubleshoot issues, and prevent abuse.
• Process billing, subscription lifecycle events, and related account operations.
• Respond to support or feedback submissions.
• Send product updates you explicitly opted into.
• Improve the service using aggregated or privacy-conscious usage metrics.

What we don’t do

• Sell your personal data.
• Track you across other sites.
• Collect more than is needed to run the product.

Cookies & analytics

The site and app may use first-party cookies or similar storage for sessions, authentication, and essential product behavior, along with lightweight analytics to understand usage and improve reliability. You can control non-essential browser storage in your browser settings.

Data sharing

• Service providers: we use trusted providers for hosting, authentication, email, analytics, storage, and payments. They only get what’s required to perform their services and must protect it.
• Legal: Information may be disclosed if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or integrity of the service.

Your choices

• Access, update, or delete your hosted account data by contacting support@statikapi.com. Some deletion requests may require you to first remove owned teams or projects that still depend on your account.
• Update your name and email preferences inside your account settings when available.
• Unsubscribe from product emails via the link in any message.
• Use the OSS CLI locally with no account if you prefer a fully self-hosted workflow.

Data retention

We keep data only as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce plan or quota rules, or maintain security and billing records. If you delete your account, we will remove or anonymize associated personal data within a reasonable timeframe, except where retention is legally required or operationally necessary for legitimate business records.

International use

Hosting locations may change over time. If data is transferred across regions, we aim to use providers with strong security practices and appropriate contractual safeguards.

Policy changes

We’ll update this page when the policy changes. Material changes will be clearly noted. Your continued use of the site or hosted features means you accept the updated policy.
